In 2020 I helped launch a Geoscience podcast called PlanetGeo. I co-host this podcast with my former high school geology teacher, Chris Bolhuis, a highly-credentialed educator who won the AAPG National Earth Science Teacher of the Year. We started this podcast to accomplish two simple goals:
To convey passion and excitement for the Geosciences to a general audience in an engaging and growing media space, and
To highlight how important Geoscience is for our societies, economies, and everyday lives.
Our normal episodes are ~30 minutes long and we cover basic principles, take deep dives into newsworthy topics, and interview successful and interesting people within the geoscience community. We also publish mini bonus episodes called GeoShorts that answer listener questions, highlight short topics, and add bonus stories.
